We are different from other personal training companies in that we offer a complete spectrum of fitness, nutrition and rehabilitation services overseen by a team of licensed medical professionals. Our trainers, schooled by an expert in the mechanics of human movement, know the right exercises and correct technique to get you to look and feel your best.

If your goal is weight loss, we will teach you how to eat all the foods you like, i.e. pizza, burgers, brownies, cheese, and to lose weight easily and permanently.  Designed by Rob Wildman, Ph.D., L.D., the former director of nutrition for GNC and Bally’s Health Club, and Jerry Greenspan (M.S. Human Nutrition, OSU), our program requires no counting calories, fat or carbs, everything is less than a 10 minute preparation, and we teach you what to eat when you eat out.  If you eat for stress or boredom, a couple sessions with our performance psychologist, Chris Stankovich, Ph.D., will equip you with the tools to deal with your emotional eating.

Almost everyone who has been active has some kind of ache and pain or old injury. Unlike most fitness companies, we have the expertise in physical therapy and muscle activation to determine the correct exercises for your body to mitigate and, in many instances, eliminate your pain as well as to maximize the function of a previously injured joint. Thus, we can maximize the safety and effectiveness of your exercise program so you can attain your goals and live the highest quality life.

Is your goal weight loss?

80% of success in weight loss is dependent on what you eat. Our program is a KISS Nutrition Program which is very easy to follow and is custom-tailored to each individual.  All meals are less than 10 minutes prep, the food tastes good, and you’ll never be hungry.  Best of all, it is a nutrition program, NOT A DIET, so you can do it for life.

Where do you go to work out if you have orthopedic ailments or old injuries or just plain aches and pains

If you’re honest with yourself, there’s probably one area or several areas of your body that has (have) been previously injured or is (are) currently a bit achy. Alternatively, you may have been through physical therapy and been discharged because you are now better (not healthy but better). The intelligent way to proceed would be to have a knowledgeable medical professional custom-design an exercise program to allow you to look and feel your best. Trained in the mechanics of human movement (i.e. biomechanical engineering), physical therapy and muscle activation, our owner can evaluate your body to design the safest, most effective and most efficient exercise program to ensure you attain the body you desire.

Is your goal to reduce your body fat percentage?

An Exercise Physiologist will take your base line measurements such as Weight, Body Fat %, Hip to Waist Ratios, and BMI which is part of the Fitness Assessment we offer. Based on these results an exercise prescription will be written to meet your fitness needs and achieve a reduction in body fat percentage. Again, anytime you are trying to change body weight or composition nutrition is key! Therefore, in addition to the strength training a nutrition consultation is recommended in order for your to have all the tools needed to succeed and sustain.

Is your goal to gain muscle mass or bulk?

Our nutrition program and an exercise prescription administered and written by an Exercise Physiologist would be the strategy for this goal, with the both being tailored towards the end goal of increasing the size of the muscles.

Evaluation option for individuals with aches and pains in your neck, shoulders, hips back, knees, ankles or elbows?

Many individuals, especially over the age of 30 experience a variety of aches and pains and simply assume it is part of the aging process. There are actually several options to helping to alleviate or negate the aches and pains all together!

  • Option #1 – A limited musculo-skeletal evaluationperformed by our physical therapist and a specific joint in the body. A specific exercise prescription will be written to target the area that is causing discomfort through strength training.
  • Option #2 – A comprehensive musculo-skeletal evaluation performed by our physical therapist assessing every joint’s range-of-motion and muscle strength as well as assessing your posture, gait, balance and overall mechanics of movement.
  • Option #3 – Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) may be performed to ensure that your muscles are able to contract the way the were intended to.  Muscles can become “turned off” as a result of injury and/or inflammation. The appropriateness and efficacy of MAT therapy for your body is determined only after a thorough the musculo-skeletal evaluation is performed to assess your body’s joint, ligament, capsular integrity.

Are you an athlete and need to improve speed, strength and/or agility?

Depending on if the athlete has experienced any injuries we may have to first do a musculo-skeletal evaluation to assess range of motion, strength deficits and muscle imbalances. Then an exercise prescription specific to the skills involved with the athlete’s sport and the athletes expressed goals will be developed.
